ABOUT ME
My name is Rebecca Niccolai, and I am currently an undergraduate Film Studies student at King’s College London. Since I began studying film in high school, I have developed a significant passion for all aspects of film studies which has stimulated me to reflect and write about various themes, ideas, and life experiences in ways comprehensible and meaningful to others.
Whilst I primarily use my blog to practice and refine my journalistic writing (as I strive to reach a level of theoretical analysis and criticality worth basing a career off of), I also take it as a chance to contribute to keeping the art of cinema alive by exposing readers to varying perspectives, elicit empathy, or simply provide food for thought. With the intent to take full advantage of my academic foundations, I aim to produce a holistic critical analysis of the cinematic works I consume and substantiate the credibility and relevance of my writing by consulting and drawing from a range of scholarly and non- scholarly sources.
Ultimately, watching and understanding films has given me the possibility to resonate with others as well as understand myself more profoundly, and by curating my blog, my only hope is that readers will experience the magic and power of cinema for themselves.
Thank you for all your support!
